Step 3:

After downloading and printing the application for a commission as a notary public, please complete and mail the application as instructed by the Sec. of State.

Note: Please read all information on Second Page of the Notary Application
Your commission will be mailed to the McLean County Clerk's Office and must be recorded and a fee paid in the Clerk's Office. Also, acquisition of the rubber stamp is your responsibility.

Note: The Clerk's Office will notify you by mail when your commission has been received.

Step 2:

Make sure you have Downloaded, Printed, Completed, and Mailed the
Notary Public Application to the Secretary of State. After you receive your notification from the County Clerk's office that your commission has arrived, continue to Step 3.

Step 3: Read the following steps then follow this link (http://www.illinoisepay.com/) E-Pay Logo
Step 4: Click on Miscellaneous Payments from the list.
Step 5: Complete the required information on the screens that follow. You will receive a confirmation number once the transaction is successful.
Step 6: Print the confirmation page.
Step 7:

Sign and date confirmation page. Fax confirmation page to the McLean County Clerk at (309) 888-5932.

Note There is a convenience fee of $ 1.75 for each transaction.
This fee is not charged by the McLean County Clerk.
