ALL ELECTRIC SITES RESERVED FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND!
All electric campsites have been reserved for Labor Day Weekend in the COMLARA Park Campground.  Some non-electric and primitive campsites remain open.  A reminder that we stop taking reservations for the upcoming weekend at Noon on Thursdays.  After this time, ALL remaining sites are on a first come, first served basis.  Thank you.

Fall Hours For Evergreen Bait Shop & Boat Rental Start Tuesday, September 8, 2015
Starting Tuesday, September 8, 2015, the Fall Hours of Operation for the Evergreen Lake Bait Shop & Boat Rental will change.
Bait Shop - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 7 Days
Boat Rental - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday & Sunday  

F.R. Glasener Beach OPEN WEEKENDS ONLY THROUGH LABOR DAY WEEKEND

STARTING AUGUST 10TH GLASENER BEACH WILL BE CLOSED ON WEEKDAYS, AND OPEN WEEKENDS ONLY THROUGH AND INCLUDING LABOR DAY.

Under 6 yrs. old $ .50
6-12 yrs. old $3.50
13 yrs. old & up $5.00
Food and soft drinks available at concession stand. Lockers available for .25 cents as well as showers (no charge). Float tubes available for rental. Beach Parties available starting as low as 35.00/hr. Parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

When it is time to make a campground reservation or picnic shelter reservation  you will need to visit our on-line reservation system at: http://www.sunrisereservations.com/campground/listCampgrounds

Just put in Comlara Park Family Campground, and then just follow the prompts.

The 2,250 acres of regional parks currently provided by the McLean County Department of Parks and Recreation include COMLARA County Park/Evergreen Lake and S.H. West County Park.

COMLARA County Park
COMLARA County Park includes the following locations:

  • Deer Island Area
  • Lake View Area
  • Main Recreation Area
  • Mallards Bay Conservation Area
  • Six Mile Creek Area
  • Southeast Conservation Area
  • Southwest Conservation Area
  • White Oak Area

Planning for the Future
Future McLean County regional recreation facilities being planned include the Historic Route 66 Regional Trail and Greenway. The 32-mile Historic Route 66 Trail would link many rural communities and regional natural resources such as the ParkLands Foundation Lexington Preserve along the Mackinaw River and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources Funks Grove Nature Preserve to the metropolitan area of Bloomington / Normal, Illinois. This trail would also provide interpretive opportunities along the Historic Route 66 corridor for central Illinois visitors.

It is the mission of the McLean County Department of Parks and Recreation to ensure adequate provision for and high quality of regional parks and related outdoor recreational activities for all citizens of McLean County in the most cost-efficient manner possible.
