PARKS PARTNERS PROGRAM

The Parks & Recreation Department engages in traditional and non-traditional partnering strategies to provide outdoor recreational facilities & opportunities.

The McLean County Parks and Recreation Department is always on the lookout for strategic partners who will work with us to improve and expand parks, recreation facilities and programs for its citizens, without increasing ongoing operations costs. A goal of the Park Partners Program is to use entrepreneurial initiatives to assist in funding conservation and resource related activities which commonly do not generate revenue of their own.

The Parks & Recreation Department recognizes that the atmosphere & aesthetics of its County Parks is critical to the experience of park users. Regional Parks and open space serve to enhance our quality of life. The Department is committed to insuring that the natural character of its Parks will be insured, while working to provide increased recreational opportunities and conserve additional resources for a growing community.

A. CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

Corporate partnerships increase recreational opportunities without ongoing costs & help generate new revenue for conservation, operations & maintenance. Corporate partnerships should always reflect the appropriate atmosphere and culture of our parks. Value from corporate partnerships can assist significantly in meeting the needs of a growing and vibrant community.

The Department of Parks will work to identify mutually beneficial agreements including: concessions, naming rights, event sponsorships, gifts & grants, marketing & advertising among many other projects.
