MCLEAN COUNTY K-9 UNIT
In the spring of 2008 Sheriff Emery appointed Deputy Jason Tuttle as our newest K-9 Handler. In cooperation with the Canine Training Institute, a 1-year old Belgian Malinois named “Keej” (pronounced Kee-jay) was purchased and shipped to us from Europe. After successfully completing 10 weeks of basic canine training Deputy Tuttle and Keej are out on the street continuing the war on crime.

Deputy Tuttle and Keej [pictured above] are considered a “full service” K-9 unit due to the fact they are certified in several areas:
The McLean County K-9 Unit works and trains closely with other local police K-9 units and is proud to serve and protect the citizens of McLean County.
The McLean County Sheriff’s Office would also like to recognize our past K-9 units and thank them all for their efforts and hard work over the years.
