Mission It is the mission of the McLean County Firearms program to provide our officers the best possible skills to protect the citizens of McLean County. Training A typical training session will consist of the following: Proper weapon handling Marksmanship Decision making Use of force, both deadly and non-deadly Proper verbal communication Staff The Firearms Instructors of the McLean County Sheriff's Office have a combined experience of over 40 years. The training these officer possess range from basic firearm instruction to advance firearm tactics and marksmanship.
