The Board is comprised of three members, appointed by the County Board Chairman. The members represent the two highest polling political parties in the last general election; two members from the majority, and one from the next highest polling party. Board of Review members must pass a State examination, demonstrating knowledge of real estate and tax law. The Boards highest goal is a fair and equitable assessment.

Taxpayers can appeal their assessment to the Board during the thirty days following the notice of assessment. The Board can change any value in the County. A hearing may be held, in an informal setting, in the Supervisor of Assessments conference room. The Board rules are available on this Website. The Board also has equalization authority.
