The Facilities Management Department is responsible for the overall management of the maintenance, custodial, utilities, mailroom, parking lots, remodeling, renovation, work station ergonomic evaluations, the American's with Disabilities Act compliance, OSHA standards compliance, and major construction project management for all McLean County facilities. This includes all mechanical systems such as electrical, gas, water, trash removal, fire alarms, security alarms, elevators, HVAC systems, sewer and sanitation systems, exterior grounds maintenance, and roof maintenance of all County facilities. The department assists the McLean County Board and the County Administrator with long-range space planning and facilities forecasting as well as installation of all network data cable systems in County owned and operated facilities. Additionally, Facilities Management performs the annual bid specifications and bidding of all approved furniture and fixtures for County offices. This department is also responsible for the bidding every three years of the trash removal contracts for all County facilities, and any federally mandated programs which impact the people and facilities resources of the County.
