The McLean County Health Department provides a dental clinic to ensure the oral health of eligible children and adults. Clients must meet financial requirements and be residents of McLean County. Services are provided by appointment only.
Interpretive services during clinic visits are provided to clients at no cost. Please request this service when making an appointment.
Services for Children Preventive and restorative dental services are provided to children ages 3 through 19. Written parental consent is required before treatment can be given.
Services include:
- Exams
- Fluoride treatments
- Cleanings
- Fillings
- Preventive Education
- Dental sealants are provided to income eligible children in selected schools each year
Services for Adults Adult Dental Clinic services are limited to pain control measures.
Services include:
- Exams
- Fillings
- X-rays
- Extractions
- Preventive Education
Daily Dental Care is Important for Children and Adults!
Remember to:
- Brush teeth after all meals and at bedtime
- Floss every day
- Avoid sugary snacks and drinks
- Visit a dentist every 6 months
- Contact a dentist if you have pain, bleeding gums, an injury to the mouth or teeth, or persistent bad breath.
Payment
Bloomington or Normal Township vouchers, Illinois Public Aid and AllKids medical cards are accepted. Clients who pay for services out of pocket must meet financial guidelines before treatment can be approved. Out of pocket fees are based on current Public Aid reimbursement rates. If an appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, a $10 missed appointment fee may be charged. |
