Early, Absentee, and Grace Period Voting
ATTENTION CITY OF BLOOMINGTON VOTERS:
McLean County has two Election Authorities.  Our office handles all but City of Bloomington. Click HERE for the Bloomington Election Commission's website and to find out where their Early Voting Sites are located.

Early Voting
Early voting will be available in our office 115 E. Washington St. Rm 100, October 20 through November 1, 2014. Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Early Voting will also be available at the ISU Bone Student Center, 100 N. University St., Faculty Staff Commons Room, First Floor, Monday through Wednesday, October 20 through 22 and October 27 through 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

NEW LAW: NO PHOTO ID IS REQUIRED TO EARLY VOTE 


Grace Period Voting
Grace period voting is for those persons who did not register to vote or change their address before the close of registration.  They may come into our office to register to vote or change their address during this period.  They must also vote in our office at the time of registration.

Grace period registration will be available in our office October 8 through November 4, 2014, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday October 25 and November 1, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. 

ID REQUIREMENTS: For Grace Period Voting, you must present two forms of ID, one of which must have your current address. 

NEW LAW: On Election Day November 4, 2014 you may register to vote under the Grace Period requirements (see above ID requirements) and vote at the same time. This can only be done at the office of the County Clerk at the Government Center!


Absentee Voting
The last day we can mail an absentee ballot overseas is October 6, 2014 and the last day to mail within the United States is October 30, 2014.  November 3, 2014 is the last day to vote absentee in person in our office. 

All ballots returned to our office within 14 days following the election and postmarked by 11:59 p.m., November 3, 2014 will be counted.
