Become a CASA Volunteer
Anyone over the age of 25 years old is eligible to become a CASA.
To apply to be a CASA volunteer, submit the CASA Volunteer Application form
and three personal reference letters must be submitted to the CASA office via fax to (309) 888-4969 or by mail at:

After receipt of the forms, an initial interview will be scheduled.
About the Training Experience
Training sessions typically occur two times per year. Trainings are 40 hours long and are typically conducted from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, two nights per week.
Ongoing Training for CASAs After Swearing In
There are ongoing training sessions for CASA volunteers after being sworn in by court. The program conducts in-service training on a monthly basis. Continuing education is required to serve as an active CASA. Please view In-Services and Events.
CASA volunteers must complete 12 hours of continuing education each year. This can be completed by a variety of ways including attending In-Service trainings, reading relevant books and articles, watching movies or documentaries relating to foster care issues, etc. Download the Continuing Hours Form
