The McLean County Recorder's Office is the official land records office for all real estate located in the county. The Recorder's primary responsibility is the accurate and timely maintenance of indexing of title of McLean County land. In addition, we also record for public record UCC's (Uniform Commercial Codes), military discharges and other contracts which may require public recording.

The Recorder's staff is ready to assist you in a professional and timely manner. Please remember that we are not attorneys and do not dispense legal advise.

The McLean County Recorder's Office has three computer work stations available for the public without charge. The computer document index goes back to 1970 with document images from 1993 to the present. Book records are available back to 1837, when the county was founded. Microfilmed documents also extend back to 1837.
