"Family violence does violence to our hopes and dreams. It tears down what we try to build. Those in the family should be safe and secure. Instead, we are battered, humiliated and afraid. The prosecutor who reaches out to victims, and treats them with understanding and respect, has a chance to replace fear with hope. "
