Dedicated to Curbing Drug Activity
for a Safer McLean County
“I want to make McLean county the worst place in the state to
deal drugs”
-McLean County States Attorney, Bill Yoder
The felony drug and gang unit has two full time Assistant State’s
Attorney’s assigned to handle felony drug and other gang related
offenses. The Drug Unit prosecutes over 300 felony drug cases per year
and assists law enforcement in the investigation and prosecution of
drug dealers and gang offenders. The Drug Unit will also be involved
in evaluating candidates and making refferals to the McLean County Drug
court once it is in place to give chronic drug users a chance to get
out of the system and become productive members of the community. The
Drug Unit also works with law enforcement and the Central District United
State’s Attorney’s Office in targeting serious offenders
for federal prosecution to secure longer penalties for dangerous drug
and gang criminals to further protect the community.
