Dear Citizens of McLean County:

Welcome to the website of the McLean County Treasurer's Office. The McLean County Treasurer's Office is responsible for overseeing the collection and distribution of over $187 million dollars to 189 taxing bodies. This collection process extends over two installments and concludes with the annual tax sale. McLean County has approximately 59,000 real estate parcels. This website will provide you with the ability to confirm payment information for the real estate property taxes. The web information does not detail who the payment was received from or if the taxes were paid as a result of being sold at the November tax sale. If you have any questions or concerns about these matters, call the Treasurer's Office at (309) 888-5180.

The Treasurer's Office is also responsible for making strong investment and banking decisions on behalf of the County. These decisions are made in accordance with our investment policy which conforms to state law and provides safety of principal to eliminate the risk of loss to public funds. It is important to balance and monitor these investments to insure that funds can be liquidated to meet the County's obligations as they become due. McLean County's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for Fiscal Year has qualified for the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. This award has been granted for 18 consecutive years and represents a significant accomplishment for McLean County's team of Financial Officers and Administrators.

The Treasurer's Office also processes the County's bi-weekly payroll of over $1 million to 900+ full and part-time employees. Our office maintains all payroll records with strict confidentiality.
