Juvenile probation special programs consist of the following:
Evidence-Based Practices
Probation staff engage youth in motivational Interviewing and provides juvenile offenders with cognitive behavioral groups that empirical research has shown to be effective in reducing recidivism such as Moral Recognition Therapy and Thinking for a Change.
Community Service
Community services is a sanction recognized in the statute and ordered by the Court for juvenile offenders as a part of a court order. The community service work is performed at not-for-profit organizations and in the community in which the minor resides.
Individual community service and work crews are arranged and monitored by juvenile court services staff.
