The McLean County Highway Department and Township Highway Road Commissioners post the roads due to frost and weather conditions annually from January 15th through April 15th. Depending on the weather, these postings may be applied later and/or taken off earlier. Please check the postings before driving on the roads.
Current Permitting Status
If you need a permit during the spring posting season, please check the current permitting status to see if we are allowing any permits.
If you are needing to haul on a Township or Municipality Road, you will need to contact the Township Highway Road Commissioner of that Township and the Municipality for permission to travel their roads.
