In regard to Illinois Supreme Court Order M.R. 30370 and the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court Administrative Order 2020 - 06 (effective March 16, 2020 - April 10, 2020) in response to the COVID-19 Emergency, the McLean County Circuit Clerk’s Office remains open to handle all statutory duties required of the clerk. Any business that can be conducted without appearing in the courthouse should be handled by mail, email, phone or online at www.McLeanCountyIL.gov/CircuitClerk, if possible. Payment of fines and fees should be paid online or by mail. Record searches and requests for copies should be addressed in writing with contact information or online. Press Release - IMMEDIATE RELEASE (March 16, 2020)
Effective Monday, March 16, 2020 - In the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Courts, consisting of the counties of Ford, Livingston, Logan, McLean and Woodford, the only cases which will be heard will be criminal felonies, bond hearings, juvenile abuse/neglect, juvenile delinquency cases, petitions to rescind summary suspension and any other emergency hearings as they may arise. If you do not have a case in one of these categories, please do not come to court.
An order with specific details will be published tomorrow (March 16, 2020) which will include the process of notifying litigants of a future date.
In addition, please check the Illinois Supreme Court website for additional procedures as to the Eleventh Circuit after March 16.
