On August 18, 2023 Lakeshore Recycling Systems, LLC submitted an application for site approval under the McLean County Pollution Control Facilities ordinance. The proposed Henson Recycling Campus Transfer Station would be located at 2020 Bunn Street, in unincorporated McLean County. A copy of the application is available for inspection in the McLean County Clerk’s office, where members of the public can obtain a physical copy upon payment of reproduction costs. A copy of the application is also available online through the Ecology Action Center at https://ecologyactioncenter.org/henson-disposal-2023/.
The public is invited to provide written comments on the application through the County Clerk’s office. Copies of any public comment received will also be available for inspection.
A public hearing on the application will be held later this year. More information on the public hearing process will be posted soon.
